Qualco Foundation is proud to have sponsored the Greek Pavilion at the 60th International Art Exhibition—La Biennale di Venezia, from April to November 2024. Our team attended the Pavilion’s inauguration on April 18, where Deputy Minister of Culture, Mr. Dimas and the National Museum of Contemporary Art Director, Ms. Gregos, gave brief inaugural addresses.

The National Museum of Contemporary Art (EMST) led Greece’s participation in 2024 with the work Xirómero / Dryland. The artwork is inspired and named after local festivals (panighíria) in the Xirómero region of Western Greece.

Xirómero/Dryland is an interdisciplinary collective work conceived by Thanasis Deligiannis and Yannis Michalopoulos, created with the artists Elia Kalogianni, Yorgos Kyvernitis, Kostas Chaikalis, and Fotis Sagonas.

It combines real-time media, including lighting, video, and sound settings.
