#education Qualco Foundation introduces the Greek Language Institute
Mar '25
At Qualco Foundation, we believe that education and culture are key drivers of social progress. Recognising the importance of the Greek language and the need to preserve and promote it in multilingual and multicultural settings, we established and actively support the Greek Language Institute (INEL).
INEL is dedicated to preserving and sharing the Greek language and culture, fostering global engagement both within the Greek diaspora and beyond. Its first major initiative is the International Conference on Teaching Greek as a Second/Foreign Language and Multilingualism, set to take place in Athens from June 4 to 6, 2025. This event will bring together distinguished academics and educators from around the world to exchange knowledge and best practices.
Beyond this, INEL is committed to:
Organising training seminars for educators and lectures on applied linguistics
Developing educational materials on teaching Greek as a foreign language
Providing specialist support to educational institutions.
As a dynamic and forward-thinking institution, INEL also aims to launch the “Ark”, an innovative digital platform featuring a wealth of resources, including:
-Educational materials
-Conference proceedings and research findings
-Lectures and interviews with leading figures on the significance of the Greek language
Through these initiatives, INEL aspires to be a cornerstone in promoting the Greek language globally, ensuring its presence and relevance in an evolving linguistic landscape.
